Things definitely weren't looking good for the Huntress in Wonder Woman #306 (August 1983). Woozy from two blows to the head, wrapped in a straitjacket, injected with a powerful hallucinogen and about to be tossed into Arkham Asylum's Violent Ward. Except that the Violent Ward patients were about to come to her as they broke out, intent on killing Doctor Tarr, the Professor and (because she was standing with them) Helena! The Lunatics Take Over The Asylum!
The new arrival turns out to be neither crazy nor violent. Instead he's a detective who got a little too close to the rackets being run out of Arkham and wound up forcibly committed. It seems the Doctor and the Professor have a sideline in getting rid of people's enemies by certifying them insane, locking them in the violent ward then experimenting on them until they really went mad. A fate the newcomer had avoided to date. After he gets the Huntress out of her straitjacket the pair make a break for it. Problem is there's one thing the Huntress can't outrun. The drug in her veins as she would find out in Wonder Woman #307 (Sept. 1983). If you'd like to see what being Catwoman and Batman's daughter does to your head then trip this way and dig the groovy imagery, man!
